I'm Venessa. I study computer engineering at Boston University and I've been coding since high school. I like working on things that actually matter to people, whether that's an app, a team, or just a really good idea.
I don't have it all figured out yet (who does?) but I know I like building, learning, and being around people who care about what they do. This site is just a place to keep track of it all.

Senior capstone. An app that analyzes your golf swing with computer vision and tells you what to fix.
Got deep into OS internals: threads, user programs, virtual memory, file systems. All built on PintOS in C.
MATLAB tool that figures out the forces in a truss, optimizes the cost-to-strength ratio, and checks for buckling. We tested our designs with real physical builds.
Platform where you make your own chatbots, give them names, personalities, roles, and just talk to them. Built during Headstarter AI Fellowship.
Type in any topic and it generates flashcards for you using an LLM. Has free and paid tiers. Headstarter AI Fellowship.
Content recommendation app from the Headstarter TikTok Hackathon. Go backend, tag-based discovery, the whole full-stack thing.
A bunch of little web apps from high school. Nothing fancy, but this is where I first learned to code.
Communiti
Built a campus engagement app in React Native with Node.js and Supabase: clubs, events, search, notifications, the works. Demoed to 100+ BU students and made semi-finals at BU's 2025 New Venture Competition.
Sapphire Digital (now Zelis)
Worked on an Angular telehealth platform. Sped up load times by about 10% and shipped 5 UX improvements with TypeScript. First real taste of working on a team with standups and sprints.
Boston University
Recruited 50+ students, got ASML on board as a sponsor, ran 3 fundraisers that brought in over $1000, and kept the club website running on Squarespace.
